A tragic announcement sets the tone in the first trailer for “A Late Quartet,” released Monday by eOne Films.
Philip Seymour Hoffman, Christopher Walken and Catherine Keener star in the feature about a world-renowned string quartet reuniting for a 25th anniversary show in New York, just after the cellist (Walken) is diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.
“A Late Quartet,” which pays homage to Beethoven’s Opus 131 String Quartet in C-Sharp minor, premieres at the Toronto Film Festival on Monday night.
The film hits theaters on Nov. 2.
