Toronto Deals: Drathouse Films Partners with Films Like Us on Canadian Distribution Deal

"The Ambassador," "Bullhead" and "Wrong" are the films that will be released under the pact

Drathouse Films is partnering with Films We Like to distribute indie titles across Canada, the companies said Friday at the Toronto International Film Festival. 

Among the films are the blood diamond drama "The Ambassador," the surreal comedy "Wrong" and the crime drama "Bullhead." "The Ambassador” will be the first film to premiere under the pact and will be released in theaters, on DVD and across various digital platforms.

“Films We Like is a perfect DNA match for our brand and we are thrilled to have our films represented in Canada," Drafthouse Films’ COO James Emanuel Shaprio said in a statement. 

The deal was negotiated by Ron Mann, President of Films We Like and James Emanuel Shapiro of Drafthouse Films.
