Burger King, Chevrolet, Dr. Pepper, JCPenney, McDonald's, Orbit, State Farm, Target, T-Mobile USA and Verizon are among the advertisers for Univision's seventh annual "Premios Juventud" youth awards show, airing live Thursday night at 8 p.m. from Miami.
The show is the Hispanic network's version of the Fox televised "Teen Choice Awards." Last year's broadcast of the "Premios" propelled Univision to finish first on the night among adults 18-34, beating all the English-language broadcast networks.
Shakira, Enrique Iglesias, Pitbull and Juanes are among musical performers scheduled to appear on the telecast.
"'Premios Juventud' is part of today's youth culture and based on our lineup, we expect to deliver another stellar event for consumers," David Lawenda, president of advertising sales and marketing for Univision Communications, said in a statement. "Our clients recognize this, and together we've created compelling marketing programs to leverage the event for their brands."
