The trailer is out for Amazon Prime’s series ‘Too Old to Die Young” starring Miles Teller, which offers a sinister look at the criminal underbelly of Los Angeles.

Teller plays a police officer named Martin, who utters the trailer’s first words: “I killed a woman last night.”

The crime drama series follows killers’ existential journeys to becoming samurais in Los Angeles, while Martin becomes more and more entangled in the world of assassins.

Nicolas Winding Refn, known for 2011’s “Drive” and 2016’s “The Neon Demon,” directs and writes the series, with Ed Brubaker (“Captain America: The Winter Soldier”) also writing.

The cast also includes John Hawkes, Jena Malone, William Baldwin, Celestino Cornielle, Nell Tiger Free, Alexander Gomez, Callie Hernandez, Babs Olusanmokun, Cristina Rodlo, Augusto Aguilera, Carlotta Montanari and Dereck Seven Smith.

“I’m a huge fan of Nic’s work so the opportunity to work with him, and for a company like Amazon, with this type of material is very exciting,” Teller in a statement when the series was announced in 2017.

Teller is known for his film roles in “Whiplash,” “War Dogs,” “The Spectacular Now,” “Project X” and the “Divergent” series. His upcoming projects include playing Bradley Bradshaw in “Top Gun: Maverick” and providing the voice of Gilbert in “The Ark and the Aardvark.” He’s represented by CAA and Stone, Genow, Smelkinson, Binder & Christopher.
