Tony Hale stopped by TheWrap’s SXSW Film Festival studio Saturday to promote his latest film, “Sadie” — but we couldn’t help but ask about “Veep.”
“Veep” star Julia Louis-Dreyfus had been diagnosed with breast cancer last September and has since undergone chemotherapy.
“Julia is going through her journey and she’s doing great, and we’ll probably pick it up again in the summer,” Hale TheWrap founder and editor in chief, Sharon Waxman.

Hale’s new film, “Sadie,” also stars Melanie Lynskey and John Gallagher Jr. Written and directed by Megan Griffiths (winner of the Emergent Narrative Female Director audience award at SXSW in 2011). “Sadie” follows the story of a 13-year-old girl whose mother begins dating a new man during her father’s prolonged absence while on military tours.
