“Tomb Raider” star Alicia Vikander is not only a talented actress, but a talent lip syncer as well. When she was eight, Vikander actually took first place at a talent show in Sweden for it.
During her appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” Vikander revealed that she didn’t always want to be an actress.
“I used to dance and I like to sing — I wanted to be a florist for a while — but then it was quite interesting, two years ago, during the Oscars, people tried to go back and find clips online, and someone had dug out a clip of a famous children’s show that had existed for 10 years while I was growing up,” she said. “It was a lip sync battle — seven or eight years old.”
While the other kids performed to Tina Turner and Michael Jackson hits, Vikander chose to sing a Swedish ballad, “Som” by Helen Sjöholm.
Vikander’s new film, “Tomb Raider,” will open on Friday. Directed by Roar Uthaug, the film also stars Walton Goggins, Dominic West and Daniel Wu.
The film currently holds a Rotten Tomatoes score of 52 percent.
