Tom Hiddleston Sings as Hank Williams in First ‘I Saw the Light’ Clip (Video)

The biopic about the country legend hits theaters on Nov. 27

In the first clip from “I Saw the Light,” fans get to hear Tom Hiddleston sing as Hank Williams as he performs the country legend’s 1947 hit, “Move it on Over.”

Hiddleston shared the teaser from the film on Twitter Thursday, with the caption: “It gives me great pleasure to introduce the first clip from I SAW THE LIGHT. tomorrow!

The British actor sings and plays guitar on every Williams song in the biopic after studying with Grammy winner Rodney Crowell for months to perfect Williams’ signature sound.

Elizabeth Olsen also makes a cameo in the preview, as she delegates a handy man to fix the roof of her house.

The film stars Hiddleston, Olsen, Cherry Jones, Bradley Whitford, Maddie Hasson and Wren Schmidt. Marc Abraham wrote and directed.

The Sony Pictures Classics release chronicles the life and tragic death of Williams, who became a major influence on American music before passing away at the age of 30 in 1953.

Hiddleston is best known for his role of Loki in “The Avengers” and “Thor” films, upcoming projects include “Thor: Ragnarok” and “Kong: Skull Island.” He also appears in Guillermo del Toro‘s horror film “Crimson Peak” due Oct. 16.

“I Saw the Light” is based on the book “Hank Williams: The Biography” by Colin Escott, and will hit theaters on Nov. 27
