Tom Hiddleston invites you to come stay at the “High-Rise,” which has “40 floors of luxury apartments filled with every modern convenience.”
The first teaser/trailer for the film acts as sort of a promotional video for the complex, with Hiddleston’s voice enticing the viewer with everything the building has to offer. A fully-stocked supermarket, a gym, a swimming pool, a spa, and even a school are featured in this luxurious apartment high-rise. “There is almost no reason to leave,” and it almost seems perfect.
“Ever wanted something more?” He says. “Ever thought, there could be a better way to live free from the shackles of the old tired world?”
Based on the 1975 novel by J.G. Ballard, “High-Rise” takes a darkly comic look at class warfare within a luxury apartment building.
Sienna Miller, Luke Evans, Jeremy Irons and Elizabeth Moss also star in director Ben Wheatley’s film, which premiered at this year’s Toronto Film Festival to mixed reviews.
Magnolia Pictures acquired the film just last week.
