Tom Hanks is so darn beloved, he could get away with murder. Or at least shoplifting.
On Thursday’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” the man who voices Woody in the “Toy Story” movies was dared to steal a cardboard cutout of himself from the Hollywood Blvd. souvenir shop next door. Not only did Hanks take his host up on the challenge, he also jacked some faux Oscars (“You can never have too many of these”) and defaced Jimmy Kimmel nemesis Matt Damon’s own cardboard standee (“I am sick of this doof).
Good thing Hanks always carries a Sharpie marker around.
Along the way, Hanks was gracious to the tourists. He may be a thief, but he’s still Tom Hanks.
