TNT has ordered a second season of the unscripted series, "Boston's Finest." Season 2 will consist of six episodes, which are slated to premiere in early 2014.
As part of the renewal order, Turner Broadcasting sister network CNN will air encore episodes of the series. Its first season, which recently completed airing in April, averaged 1.3 million viewers per episode.

The cable channel boasts that the series sets itself apart from other law enforcement reality shows by following all parts of the Boston Police Department. That includes patrol officers, detectives, and the SWAT Team, among others. Its cameras also capture its subjects' personal lives.
The series is produced by Donnie Wahlberg's Donnie D. Productions and Seth Jarrett and Julia Insogna-Jarrett's Jarrett Creative Group.
