Tina Fey and Robert Carlock are teaming up with former “30 Rock” writer Luke Del Tredici for a new NBC series that has received a put pilot commitment, TheWrap has confirmed.
“The Sackett Sisters,” written by Del Tredici, is a single-camera comedy that follows two estranged sisters who are forced into the limelight when they perform a very public act of heroism, à la Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger.
Universal TV, 3 Arts Entertainment and Little Stranger Inc. are the production entities behind the show.
Fey, the former star of “SNL” and “30 Rock,” and Carlock are a busy pair these days. The pair have a new sitcom, “Great News,” slated for NBC later this season; that show was created by Tracey Wigfield.
Meanwhile, the duo have “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt,” the quirky comedy that will soon have its third season on Netflix.
