Looks like Tiffany Haddish’s New Year’s resolution for 2019 is to up her performance game.

Comedian Haddish ‘fessed up to botching a New Year’s Eve performance in Miami, telling fans on Twitter that “I wish it was better.”

Haddish offered her mea culpa on Tuesday with a link to an article from The Root bearing the title, “Tiffany Haddish Bombs, Drinks with Fans Instead.”

“Yes this happened. I wish it was better Miami,” Haddish wrote on Tuesday morning. “I prayed on it and I have a strong feeling this will never happened [sic] again.”

According to the article, during the performance at Miami’s James L. Knight Center, “Haddish forgot a few of her jokes, and realized the jokes she could remember weren’t connecting as expected.”

The article added that, as fans made their way to the exit, “This is weird for me. Now … This is going to be on TMZ or whatever.”

About that, at least, Haddish was correct. On Tuesday morning, TMZ published a report on the performance, noting, “Tiffany Haddish had a difficult New Year’s Eve during her show in Miami … especially when the crowd started to disperse mid-show.”

The TMZ article added that Haddish eventually “changed things up, cracked open a bottle of Ciroc and started drinking with the audience.”
