“The View” kicked off Wednesday’s episode with the panel recapping CNN’s Democratic debate, including Bernie Sanders’ chivalry and Martin O’Malley’s abs.
But it was the the Vermont senator’s decision to stick up for opponent Hillary Clinton over her email scandal that really made one of the ladies hot.
“I thought that Bernie was so mensch-y in that moment — like a real guy,” Behar said. “I actually am aroused by him.”
In case you missed the moment the 74-year-old politician turned into a hunk in the eyes of Behar, Sanders jumped in on the conversation about the controversy surrounding Clinton’s White House email server to proclaim, “the American public is sick and tired of hearing about your damn emails.”
“I find him to be eye candy, not ear candy … eye candy,” the comedian continued. “I like an old Jewish guy who’s a socialist — that’s my kind of guy.”
“To me, Bernie is the most authentic person that’s ever ran for president that I’ve ever seen,” she added a minute or two later.
Later, Behar and Michelle Collins debated whether the more traditional eye candy O’Malley had rock-hard chest pecs or man boobs.
But it wasn’t just Sanders’ sex appeal that turned women of “The View” on while watching the debate. They enjoyed seeing the left-leaning politicians discuss actual issues, instead of just touting their individual accomplishments.
“They actually had some stuff to talk about — it was kind of thrilling,” moderator Whoopi Goldberg said.
