“The View” guest host Candace Cameron Bure took exception to Jenny Mollen’s book on Wednesday’s show, saying she didn’t find the stories in it funny.
Mollen, who’s married to “Orange Is the New Black” actor Jason Biggs, was on the previous day’s show to promote her book “I Like You Just The Way I Am.” Bure was visibly uncomfortable during the segment.
Whoopi Goldberg was curious as to why Mollen was so subdued during her appearance despite having such outrageous subject matter in the book, which she called “great stories.”
“How is that a great story?!” Bure said. “I’m sorry, how is hiring a hooker for your husband’s birthday, how is having threesomes, how is that celebrated?”

The “Full House” star contended that she had a sense of humor, but was repulsed by Mollen’s anecdotes.
“I have a hard time finding the humor in that, as a woman who has been married for 18 years,” Bure said.
Jenny McCarthy argued the humor was subjective and that a lot of people agreed with her.
“But when she was on the couch, she did not share her story in detail,” Bure said. “She could feel from the crowd, I believe, that they were not as receptive to her stories and she really backed off … because I think she may be different written on a page or on Twitter than she is in person.”
