‘The Talk’ Co-Host Aisha Tyler on Vivica A. Fox: ‘I Didn’t Say Anything About Her Face’ (Video)

In the video, Tyler said she was comparing Fox to Sharon Osbourne because of their mutual haircolor, not botox

Aisha Tyler had some explaining to do on “The Talk” Tuesday after BET.com accused her of “ripping Vivica A. Fox’s face” on yesterday’s show–except she didn’t.

Julie Chen opened the segment by staring down the camera and breaking down the drama, from the article’s accusations to Tyler’s response on social media. With a head shake, she turned the table over to Tyler, who explained what she meant by her comments.

“The joke I made was if you saw Vivica’s hair…it was very bright red, and my point is that Sharon’s color is elegant and sophisticated…and I thought that Vivica was trying to, as we sometimes say in the community, ‘bite her style’,” she said. “I didn’t say anything about her face. I didn’t say anything about her having plastic surgery.”

The controversy began after Tyler pointed out the change in Fox’s style in rather ambiguous terms during a segment debating both sides of the 50 Cent-Vivica A. Fox feud.

“I would just like to point out, if you look at Vivica, she clearly went to the swap meet and going the Sharon Osbourne,” she said quickly revising to clarify her statement. “And she doesn’t hold a candle. She clearly got the 1999 hair rinse.”

BET translated the comment as a reference to botox, forcing Tyler to go to Twitter Monday night to defend her statement before today’s show.

Meanwhile, after defending her claim, Tyler also drove home the point of the diss, which was that it was “classless” for Fox to “kiss and tell” in the 50 Cent drama.
