The Stanley Hotel doesn’t only attract fans of “The Shining.” Now, the iconic destination has caught the attention of a wild black bear that decided to roam the lobby.

“Late night visitor from the wildside [sic] visits our hotel lobby,” The Stanley Hotel posted on Facebook. “We’ll make an exception to the rule about jumping on the furniture.”

While a spokesperson for the hotel has not yet responded to TheWrap’s request for comment, general manager Reed Rowley told CBS Denver that the bear had indeed made it into the hotel late Wednesday, early Thursday morning. He said the bear was only inside “very briefly” and no hotel guests were around.

“It’s part of being in the Rocky Mountains, we do have a hotel next to a National Park… wildlife is part of the gig,” Rowley said. “The bears up here are super clever and once in a while they do figure out a way to poke their heads in.”

The Stanley Hotel is located in Estes Park, Colorado, and served as the inspiration for the Overlook Hotel in Stephen King’s 1977 novel “The Shining.” It also served as the backdrop of the 1980 film adaptation, starring Jack Nicholson and Shelley Duvall.
