‘The Passage’ Finale: Amy Initiates ‘Elizabeth Protocol’ and That’s Not a Good Thing (Exclusive Video)

Whatcha doin’ with that button, Amy?

Tensions are rising going into Monday’s season finale of “The Passage.” And it looks they’re going to hit critical mass in just about two minutes, thanks to Amy and a little button.

In a new clip from the Fox vampire drama’s two-hour Season 1 closer, which is exclusive to TheWrap, Amy (Saniyya Sidney) is holed up in a room somewhere in Project NOAH, when she decides to initiate “Elizabeth Protocol.” And while we don’t know exactly what that is, it definitely isn’t good.

While fighting back tears, Amy says “I’m sorry,” before hitting a button on a computer that brings up a “System Locked” screen and starts a two-minute countdown.

Lear (Henry Ian Cusick) and Richards (Vincent Piazza) — who are in the same room as Amy, but didn’t notice what was happening until now — look worried, as sirens begin to go off.

Meanwhile, Nichole (Caroline Chikezie) and Brad (Mark-Paul Gosselaar) are trapped on 4B and she just used the walkies to confirm with Richards that yes, the red lights and alarms going off down there mean the floor is gonna blow in a couple minutes.

Brad says they can’t, because Fanning (Jamie McShane) is down there and if Fanning dies, Amy dies. So who hit the button?

Oh, that’s right, Amy did.

Watch the clip above and check back with TheWrap later today for more preview coverage and again after the episode for a post-mortem interview with “The Passage” creator Liz Heldens to get a breakdown of the episode and hints about Season 2.

The two-hour Season 1 finale of “The Passage” airs tonight, Monday, at 8/7c on Fox.
