Warning: Spoilers ahead for Sunday night’s episode of “The Masked Singer”

Running and tackling may be hard on the body, but according to “The Masked Singer” contestant Milkshake, football pads are a breeze compared to his costume on the show.

Sunday marked ’90s night on the singing competition, and sadly, the end of Milkshake’s journey. Despite guesses of popular rappers like T.I. and LL Cool J, the frozen drink was unmasked to reveal he wasn’t a rapper at all; he was pro football player Le’Veon Bell. But he wasn’t mad at all about the fact that the judges thought he sounded like those rappers.

“I was cool with the guesses because like, it was artists that I actually like too,” Bell told TheWrap. “It was artists I actually listen to.” He added that knowing the judges “felt like I sound like artists meant a lot to me.”

But speaking candidly, Bell admitted that his Milkshake costume forced him to learn “a lot about muscle, for sure” and was “hands down” harder to operate in than his typical football pads.

“It’s not like it was too heavy — but it was kind of heavy — but it’s just the way it was moving,” Bell explained. “Like, I couldn’t really see directly at my feet. It was like kind of like I had a big belly, kind of, in a way, you know what I’m saying? So I couldn’t really see my feet right in front of me, so even when I’m performing, you know, I trust the performers to kind of guide me a little bit.”

He added, “It was really a tough situation, but it was fun! I enjoyed it. The costume was sweaty, but it was fun.”

Bell noted that his appearance on the show was long in the making, as he was approached to compete “a couple other times,” but the timing just didn’t line up with his schedule. But now that he’s done it, he’s feeling very confident about making his own album, expected to release early next year.

“I just want to show people how passionate I am about this music,” Bell said. “It’s not something I just do for hobby, it’s something I actually love and I’ve been doing it. So I’m just continuing on that path and showing people how serious I’m taking it.”

“The Masked Singer” airs on Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET on Fox.
