‘The Hunt’ Producer Jason Blum Really Wants Trump to See the Satire He Blasted Sight Unseen

“The movie he was talking about was not the movie we made,” writer and exec producer Damon Lindelof adds

Producer Jason Blum said would really like President Donald Trump to see his violent political satire “The Hunt,” whose fall release was scuttled last year in the wake of two mass shootings and a presidential tweet that accused the filmmakers of making the film “in order to inflame and cause chaos.”

“I would love the president to see the movie,” Blum told reporters on Monday. The film, which is now scheduled to hit theaters next month, depicts liberal elites hunting right-leaning “deplorables” for sport — but Blum and co-writer/producer Damon Lindelof insisted that director Craig Zobel’s film has been misunderstood.
