Everything is gonna be fine — again! — and fluffy on the upcoming third season of NBC’s “The Good Place.”
In a new promo for the Kristen Bell and Ted Danson-led comedy, a furry little bunny is chilling in a bucket — and that’s about it. Well, can we really call it a promo for Season 3 if there is no sign of Eleanor (Bell), Michael (Danson) or the rest of the “Good Place” cast — just this adorable guy?
Relax! Don’t worry about it. As the short clip assures us “he’s fine” and “you’re fine,” so what the heck are you overthinking it for?
The truth is there is probably a lot to worry about, as fans of the critically-acclaimed series will remember that Season 2 ended with a cliffhanger that rivaled the first year’s it-was-the-bad-place-all-along twist: Michael sent Eleanor, Chidi (William Jackson Harper), Tahani (Jameela Jamil) and Jason (Manny Jacinto) back to Earth to prove they’ve learned to be good enough to enter the real Good Place.
“The four of them are straight-up back on Earth, in a new timeline where they didn’t die,” creator Michael Schur said in an interview with Rolling Stone in June, adding that “a lot of the progress they have made as people has been sort of theoretical… it seemed like a natural move to send them back to a time before they made that progress, and to use the idea of nearly dying to test their ability to improve.”
And, if you want to know where things are headed, TheWrap saw the first two minutes of Season 3 at San Diego Comic-Con last month, which you can read about here.

“The Good Place” returns with a one-hour premiere Thursday, Sept. 27 at 8/7c on NBC.
