“The Boys” gears up for a “Supernatural” reunion as new guest stars Jared Padalecki and Misha Collins join Jensen Ackles in the fifth and final season of the hit Prime Video superhero drama.
The show announced the big news in a social media post on Wednesday by having Ackles, who currently stars as Soldier Boy, invite the two on board.

“Hey, Jared. We got work to do … again,” Ackles tells his former co-star.
“OK, I’ll tell Misha. Misha, we got work to do,” Padalecki then tell Collins.
Collins then appears on camera and agrees to team up with his “Supernatural” band — but he has one question: “What are we doing?”
Right now, details about their roles have not been revealed, but we could guess that the two will star as characters with supernatural — pun intended — abilities known as the Supes, since Ackles plays one in the Eric Kripke-led series. Collins and Padalecki will be the latest “Supernatural” stars to join the show. Jeffrey Dean Morgan guest starred in Season 4 as Butcher’s former CIA buddy, Joe Kessler.
“The Boys” is based on The New York Times best-selling comic by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, who also serve as executive producers, and developed by executive producer and showrunner Eric Kripke. Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Neal H. Moritz, Pavun Shetty, Phil Sgriccia, Michaela Starr, Paul Grellong, David Reed, Judalina Neira, Jessica Chou, Ken F. Levin, and Jason Netter also serve as executive producers. “The Boys” is produced by Sony Pictures Television, Amazon MGM Studios with Kripke Enterprises, Original Film and Point Grey Pictures.
