‘Terminator: Dark Fate’: Explosive New Trailer Delivers Action, Gunfire and Carnage (Video)

Arnold Schwarzenegger and Linda Hamilton return when film hits theaters Nov. 1

While we’re excited to see how James Cameron helps bring some closure to the “Terminator” franchise story by bringing back Linda Hamilton and Arnold Schwarzenegger, we really want to see stuff blow up — and Friday’s latest trailer for “Terminator: Dark Fate” delivers that in spades.

Tim Miller has already proven himself as an action wizard with the “Deadpool” movies, so it’s exciting to see the hyper-stylized ways in which he’s upping the ante with this film. Mackenzie Davis plays an “enhanced” human in “Dark Fate,” and here we see her swinging a chain to slice through the new machine sent back in time to kill them.

There’s also a great shot of Schwarzenegger firing endless rounds of machine gun fire right into his opponent’s face, only to reveal the machine skeleton underneath. And Hamilton even gets a chance to recite Arnold’s famous line from the original films, “I’ll be back,” as she coolly walks away from an explosion.

In “Terminator: Dark Fate,” Sarah Connor teams up with Davis’ character to protect the life of another young girl who is being hunted because she might hold the key to saving humanity. And even though Connor previously stopped Judgment Day, she has to prove herself again.

“Enough of a resumé for you?” she asks Davis. “No. You may have changed the future, but you didn’t change our fate,” Davis replies.

Also tarring in “Terminator: Dark Fate” are Gabriel Luna as the new Terminator, along with Natalia Reyes, Diego Boneta, Tom Hopper, Steven Cree and Edward Furlong returning to the franchise as John Connor.

Paramount is releasing the latest in the “Terminator” franchise in theaters on Nov. 1.
