Ted Cruz is going viral for comments he made in 1988.
The Republican presidential candidate, who is running behind front-runner Donald Trump in the most recent Iowa poll, jokes about starring in a “teen tit film” and “world domination” in a video shot while he was a high school senior.
“Aspirations? Is that like sweat on my butt?” a teenage Cruz asks the camera. “Oh I see. What I want to do in life. Well, my aspiration is to, oh I don’t know, be in a teen tit film.”
“Other than that, take over the world. World domination,” Cruz continues. “You know, rule everything. Rich and powerful, that sort of stuff.”
According to the YouTube account, Young Ted Cruz, the video was shot in 1988. Since it was uploaded on Sunday, over 400,000 people have viewed it. The operator of the account told Politico it came from a high school classmate of Cruz’s who wished to remain anonymous.
Cruz campaign spokesman Rick Tyler told Politico of the video: “Good to see he’s always had a great sense of humor.”
