Ted Cruz pulled out of the presidential race on Tuesday following another loss to Donald Trump in the Indiana primary, and a number of Hollywood stars took to Twitter to take shots at the Texas senator.
Judd Apatow wrote, “Great of Cruz to wait till now to be honest about how awful Trump is and STILL he won’t say he won’t support him.”
Funny or Die’s Adam McKay chimed in, saying, “It just wasn’t your time Ted Cruz. If only you had run in 1788.”
“Don’t let the door hit you on the way out Ted,” Bravo’s Andy Cohen said.
“So long, douchebag,” Bill Maher wrote. Actress Shannon Woodward says Cruz is “lucky that he lives in a state where you’re allowed to abort your campaign as you see fit.”
Author Jeff Pearlman said he has “never seen an American political figure as disliked from all sides as Ted Cruz,” while Paul F. Tompkins pondered, “Remember when Ted Cruz thought he was going to be president?”
Cousin Sal from “Jimmy Kimmel Live” even mocked Cruz’s inadvertent elbow to his wife’s face. Take a look at all of the reactions below.
This is a good showing, but I'm still betting Canelo Alvarez over Ted Cruz by unanimous decision. pic.twitter.com/k7XWWZBeTs

Ted Cruz just said what built his campaign was the support of 4 year olds. So long, douchebag.
