TCA: ‘Game of Thrones’ Lord David Bradley on Hosting Red Wedding: ‘I Enjoyed Every Moment’

Bradeley has suffered some public scolding since playing Lord Walder Frey

David Bradley has been getting some funny looks since playing "Game of Thrones" villain Walder Frey, host of the most talked-about wedding of the season.

Lord Frey proved himself to be (spoiler alert) a very bad host when he orchestrated the murder of much of House Stark in the penultimate episode of Season 3. Bradley says a few people have wagged a finger at him for what his character did — but he has no regrets.

"I enjoyed every moment of it," he said at a Television Critics Association panel on Thursday. "I enjoyed it rather too much, actually."

He also said he's enjoying his new notoriety.

"I'm not exactly watching my back. Most people, there's a twinkle when they admonish me. And I've watched a lot of footage on YouTube of people's reactions to watching me," he said.

In person, he is far friendlier than Frey or Argus Filch, the grumpy caretaker of Hogwarts he plays in the "Harry Potter" films. The 71-year-old arrived at the TCA summer press tour dressed in a Bob Dylan T-shirt and Converse All-Stars. He spoke in two BBC America panels: one about "An Adventure in Space and Time," an upcoming film about the creation of "Doctor Who," and another about the dark murder series "Broadchurch."

He now has a place in at least three stories with rabid fanbases: "Thrones," "Potter," and now "Doctor Who." But he seemed nonplussed about it.

"I seem to meet more people than I did," he said.
