Louis C.K.'s FX comedy "Louie" only premiered last month, but it's already been picked up for another season.
The show has been picked up for 13 more episodes, FX's president and general manager John Landgraf said at the annual TCA summer press tour Tuesday.
C.K, a former writer for "Saturday Night Live," created the series and plays the lead role, a freshly divorced father living with his two daughters in New York.It's his second series following the sitcom "Lucky Louie," which aired on HBO for one season back in 2006.
The show also features footage of C.K. performing his stand-up routines.
FX's renewed commitment to "Louie" is part of the network's effort to beef up its comedy lineup. At TCA, FX also announced a new pilot from the creators of "Reno 911" and showed off "Terriers," a new detective dramedy starring Donal Logue.
