Sir Patrick Stewart and Sir Ian McKellen might be the latest to join Taylor Swift’s crew of famous friends. That is, if the excitement of it all doesn’t kill them first.
“OMG I DIE!!!,” Stewart wrote on Twitter after being praised by Swift. “(no really, I might. I’m old.) ”
On Thursday, Stewart tweeted a clip of himself doing a dramatic reading of Swift’s single “Blank Space” for NPR’s “Ask Me Another.”
After referencing a video of McKellen reciting “Bad Blood,” the legendary actor had a request for Swift: “May we join the squad, @taylorswift13?”
The pop star responded with a collage of photos of the “X-Men” co-stars hanging out together. “You’ve made my day,” she wrote on Twitter. “You two are ULTIMATE Squad Goals.”
Perhaps the next time Swift recruits her friends for a star-studded music video, there might be two more on the list.
