Taylor Sheridan took Hollywood by surprise when “Yellowstone” quietly became one of the biggest TV hits of the last decade. The monster success of that show even convinced Paramount to reverse course on a plan to turn Paramount Network, where the neo-Western airs, into a movies-only channel.

Alongside “Yellowstone” spinoffs “1883” and “1923,” the hit Sylvester Stallone drama “Tulsa King,” Jeremy Renner’s small town noir series “Mayor of Kingstown,” the biographical drama “Lawmen: Bass Reeves” starring David Oyelowo and Dennis Quaid, “Special Ops: Lioness” with Zoe Saldaรฑa and “Landman” starring Billy Bob Thornton prove Sheridan is no flash in the pan.
