R&B singer Tank isn’t taking any opportunities to kick former TGT partner Tyrese while he’s down.
“The thing that I’ve always maintained is that last time me and Tyrese did talk we were friends,” Tank told the hosts of TV talk-show “The Real” recently.
“I know how much he loves his daughter,” he continued, referring to a messy child-custody battle the “Fast & Furious” actor has been dealing with lately. “And I know how something like that — with your baby — how it can send you into a space that you’ve probably never been before, and things can start to unravel.”
Unravel they did — Tyrese has since blamed recent bizarre behavior on the prescription psychiatric medication given to him to help the multi-hyphenate deal with his familial drama.
“For me, he doesn’t need anybody else knocking him down,” Adrienne Houghton, Jeannie Mai and Tamera Mowry-Housley’s guest — whose real name is Durrell Babbs — maintained from the high road. “He needs somebody to support him. So my prayers and love go out to him.”
Tyrese, Tank, and Ginuwine — the “G” of “TGT” — have been beefing in the years since the group broke up. Mainly it’s been Tyrese versus the other two, who say the guy playing Pastor Harris on Fox’s “Star” believes he deserves more money than they do, despite each enjoying similar solo success.
