Cyber Monday was a big hit for “Superstore”: The NBC sitcom was checked out by a strong 8 million total viewers in its special post-“Voice” preview slot last night, while a second episode at 10:30 p.m. retained 86 percent of the debut ratings.
“Superstore” and Eva Longoria‘s “Telenovela” officially kick off their seasons on Jan. 4. Next week, “Telenovela” gets the same preview treatment. After ringing in the new year, the two sitcoms will be paired Monday nights beginning at 8, with “Superstore” as the primetime self-starter.
For ABC, “The Great Holiday Baking Show” matched a season high in its own 10 p.m. time slot premiere.
NBC was first in Nielsen live-plus-same day ratings with a 2.6 rating/8 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and in total viewers with an average of 11.1 million, according to preliminary numbers. “The Voice” at 8 p.m. earned a 2.9/9 and 13.1 million viewers. “Superstore” at 10 p.m. received a 2.2/7 and 8 million viewers. The second episode had a 1.9/6 and 6.1 million viewers.
ABC was second in ratings with a 1.6/5 and third in viewers with 6.3 million. At 8 p.m., “It’s Your 50th Christmas, Charlie Brown” got a 1.8/6 and 7.2 million viewers. Following the re-airing of “A Charlie Brown Christmas,” “The Great Holiday Baking Show” posted a 1.2/4 and 4.4 million viewers.
CBS was third in ratings with a 1.3/4 and second in viewers with 7.4 million. “Supergirl” at 8 had a 1.6/5 and 8 million viewers. Reruns followed.
Fox was fourth in ratings with a 1.2/4 and in viewers with 3.4 million. “Gotham” at 8 got a 1.6/5 and 4.5 million viewers. At 9 p.m., “Minority Report” received a 0.7/2 and 2.2 million viewers.
Univision was fifth in ratings with a 0.8/2 and in viewers with 2 million.
Telemundo was sixth in ratings with a 0.6/2 and in viewers with 1.6 million.
The CW was seventh in ratings with a 0.3/1 and in viewers with 914,000. “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend” at 8 p.m. had a 0.4/1 and 1.1 million viewers. At 9 p.m., the “Greatest Holiday Commercials Countdown” got a 0.2/1 and 768,000 viewers.
