Sundance Channel Names Michael Klein SVP

Sundance Channel puts former Travel Channel exec in charge of original programming and development

Sundance Channel tapped Michael Klein to be its senior vice president for original programming and development, moving over from the Travel channel where he was senior vice president of content.

Klein is replacing Lynne Kirby, who is leaving the company. He will report to Sundance Channel's executive vice president and general manager Sarah Barnett.

Barnett described Klein as an "exciting addition" to Sundance's senior management team. "As Sundance Channel enters into a new era of original programming, Michael brings new energy and creativity that I am confident will resonate with viewers and excite the television industry," Barnett said.

Fred Graver will be taking over for Klein at the Travel Channel. His appointment was announced by Travel President Lauren Ong on June 22.
