USA released a new trailer for the final season of “Suits” on Monday, teasing Patrick J. Adams’ long-awaited return to the legal drama.
Midway through the season, Adams will return as Mike Ross to get involved in a case that puts him toe-to-toe with Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht) and Samantha Wheeler (Katherine Heigl).
Adams’ left the show at the end of Season 7 with his on-screen wife, played by Meghan Markle, a.k.a. the Duchess of Sussex. Markle is not expected to return.

As previously announced, Season 9 of “Suits” will be the final hurrah for the legal drama. The series will return on Wednesday, July 17, followed by the Gina Torres-led spinoff, “Pearson.”
The show picks up with Manhattan corporate law firm, Zane Specter Litt Wheeler Williams, facing uncertainty and change yet again after Robert Zane (Wendell Pierce) took the fall with the Bar Association to save Harvey. After his sacrifice, Samantha is left reeling from the loss of her mentor, and while trying to console her, Harvey realizes he doesn’t want to lose the most important person to him: Donna (Sarah Rafferty).
Rick Hoffman, Dulé Hill and Amanda Schull also star.
“Suits” is produced by Universal Content Productions. The series was created and is executive produced by Aaron Korsh, with Doug Liman, David Bartis and Gene Klein of Hypnotic also serving as executive producers, along with Genevieve Sparling, Ethan Drogin and Christopher Misiano.
