A first look at “Suicide Squad” lit up the Internet late Wednesday after a tweet from writer-director
Jim Parrack (“Battle: Los Angeles), Adam Beach (WB’s “Flags of Our Fathers”) and Ike Barinholtz (“The Mindy Project”) joined previously announced stars including Will Smith, Viola Davis and Margot Robbie. Parrack is a strong addition to the ensemble, as not only is he a physically imposing actor, but he recently worked with Ayer on “Fury.”
Jared Leto is playing the Joker in “Suicide Squad,” as TheWrap first reported, but he is not in the photo. Perhaps he’s practicing his maniacal laugh just off-camera?
Other actors accounted for include Joel Kinnaman, Jai Courtney, Cara Delevingne, Jay Hernandez, Karen Fukuhara and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, who will play Killer Croc, as TheWrap first reported.
Ayer’s film follows a group of supervillains who are forced to team up and help the government, as represented by Amanda Waller (Davis).

Parrack, who frequently collaborates with James Franco and has “The Adderall Diaries” premiering at the Tribeca Film Festival this month, is represented by Paradigm.
Beach is repped by Industry Entertainment, while Barinholtz is repped by UTA and Principato-Young Entertainment.
