“Stone Cold” Steve Austin’s “Broken Skull Challenge” will crack open a can of whoop-ass tonight, when the reality competition returns for Season 5.
The CMT staple attracts some of the toughest S.O.B.s on the planet, as Austin is prone to say. The WWE legend is no slouch himself — so how would he do in the Pit and on the revamped Skullbuster? There’s only one way to find out, so we asked the Texas Rattlesnake directly.
“I think if I set my sights on doing the kind of things that we do out here, I would do well,” Austin told TheWrap. “Just as a competitor, going back to my track and field days and my football days in junior high, high school, and then college football — man, I’m extremely competitive, I cannot stand losing.”
“We’ve got some of the best athletes in the United States of America out here,” he continued. “So, I don’t know how I would do stacked up against them, but I can guarantee you they would know that they just got finished dealing with one tough son of a gun.”
Read more from our interview with Austin here, where the former Ringmaster explains why he hasn’t (and it seems, won’t ever) return to squared-circle action for a cash-grab. Austin also tells us how he feels about active wrestlers using his Stone Cold Stunner finishing move. His answer might surprise you.
