Longtime “Good Day LA” co-anchor Steve Edwards has departed the local morning news show, a spokesperson for Fox affiliate KTTV, where the program airs, told TheWrap on Monday.
“We can confirm that Steve Edwards is no longer employed by KTTV,” a spokeswoman for the station said in a statement.
No reason was given for the exit.
Edwards had been an anchor on the program since 1995.
While KTTV had no statement regarding the reason for Edwards’ departure, FTVLive reports that Edwards was let go following sexual harassment accusations made against him.
In addition to the “Good Day LA” stint, Edwards’ decades-long career has included a run as a talk-radio host for KABC, as well as the host of “Live in LA” on local outlet KCAL-TV.
