Colbert: Herschel Walker Went to the Abortion Clinic So Much ‘I Assume at This Point He Has His Own Parking Spot’ (Video)

The “Late Show” host says the Georgia Senate candidate’s pile of scandals is getting too big – even for Fox News

On Wednesday, a second woman came forward claiming that she she had an abortion at the behest and financial support of Georgia Republican Senate candidate Herschel Walker – a fledgling politician who’s campaigned on a pro-life platform.

In his Thursday night monologue, “Late Show” host Stephen Colbert jumped on the topic, joking that the former NFL running back was at the abortion clinic so much that he probably “has his own parking spot.”

AP reports that the second woman cited an abortion Walker covered in 1993, an accusation that comes just weeks after he became embroiled in an abortion accusation from 2009.

Holding a Zoom call with reporters, as arranged by her lawyer, Gloria Allred, the anonymous woman identified only as “Jane Doe” recalled getting pregnant during their six-year affair while Walker was married to his first wife.

“The reason I am here today is because he has publicly taken the position that he is ‘about life’ and against abortion under any circumstances when, in fact, he pressured me to have an abortion and personally ensured that it occurred by driving me to the clinic and paying for it,” the woman said.

Colbert latched onto that last nugget and ran with it Thursday.

“Yesterday, a second woman came forward claiming that Walker not only paid for her to get an abortion, but drove her to the clinic,” the “Late Show” host said said in his set-up. “He went there so much, I assume at this point he has his own parking spot.”

Colbert then looked to the ways that even Fox News is having trouble negotiating their coverage on the embattled politician. He pulled up a clip with interviewer Bret Baier in which Walker is pushed on the fact that for some Georgia voters, “these issues affected them, to be honest.”

“They said they just weren’t sure and they didn’t know if another shoe was going to drop,” Baier said in conversation with Walker.

Another shoe going to drop?” Colbert said, incredulously. “How many feet does Herschel Walker have? Is he a centipede? It would explain why he was such a good running back.”
