Since becoming the president and CEO of Starz in January, former HBO head Chris Albrecht has been trying to ramp up the network's original programming efforts.
As part of that push, Starz promoted a trio of marketing execs Tuesday.
Marta Fernandez and Robert Markovich were both named vice presidents of original programming. Richter Hartig was elevated to vice president of original production finance. Starz Media managing director Carmi Zlotnik announced the spate of promotions.
Fernandez and Markovich will be responsible for developing and supervising creative aspects of Starz programming. Fernandez currently oversees the series "Spartacus: Blood and Sand" and "Torchwood," and has been with the network since 2007. Markovich supervises the upcoming medieval drama "Camelot," and has been with Starz since 2002.
Hartig will be responsible for programming and production finances. He joined Starz media's precursor, IDT entertainment, in 2006.
