“Star Wars: The Force Awakens” leads this year’s pack of Saturn Awards nominees, with 15 nominations including Best Science Fiction Film and Best Director for J.J. Abrams.
The blockbuster also received nominations for Best Screenplay and Best Music, as well as acting nods for Harrison Ford, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Adam Driver, Carrie Fisher and Lupita Nyong’o.
Guillermo Del Toro‘s “Crimson Peak” and George Miller‘s “Mad Max: Fury Road” came in with nine nominations each, while “Jurassic World” received seven.
On the television side, “The Walking Dead” leads with seven noms, while HBO’s “Game of Thrones” follows with five and “Daredevil,” “Hannibal,” “Supergirl” and “Wayward Pines” receiving four nominations each.
The awards, presented by The Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films, will be handed out in June.
