Two days after sharing a photo of Young Chewbacca from the set of the upcoming Han Solo spinoff, director Ron Howard has struck again on Instagram, this time posting a pic of “Atlanta” actor Donald Glover as fan favorite, Lando Calrissian, in Disney’s “Star Wars” standalone film.
“Lining up a shot today from my director’s monitor,” Howard captioned under the photo, released Tuesday. The pic shows Howard next to a monitor that features Glover as the iconic “Star Wars” character, played in the original trilogy by Billy Dee Williams.
Glover, as Lando, is seen inside the cockpit of the Millennium Falcon, the iconic spacecraft that Han Solo won from Lando in “The Empire Strikes Back.”

Howard took over the director’s chair just two days after Phil Lord and Chris Miller were let go from the “Star Wars” spinoff last month. The directors had been at the wheel of the film for nearly two years. Physical production commenced in late January in the U.K., and the men completed nearly 17 weeks of shooting through May.
The film stars Alden Ehrenreich as Han Solo, the role that Harrison Ford made famous. Starring alongside him and Glover are Emilia Clarke, Woody Harrelson, Thandie Newton and Michael Kenneth Williams.
The untitled Han Solo project is scheduled for a May 2018 release date.
