Star Wars Celebration 2023 kicked off in London on Friday and the official “Star Wars” fan event came out swinging lightsabers with some major announcements during the Lucasfilm Studio Showcase panel. Not one, but three new “Star Wars” movies are on the way, including the return of Daisy Ridley as Rey in a new film set 15 years after the events of “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.”
“My heart is pounding,” Ridley said when she took the Celebration stage to announce her return. Friday’s guests also included “Andor” star Diego Luna, “Asokah” star Rosario Dawson and Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy. Even “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny” stars Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Mads Mikkelsen were in the house (no, the new Indiana Jones is not a Star War, but it is a Lucasfilm movie.)
We’ve put together the best images from this year’s Star Wars Celebration so far, so even if you can’t see that exclusive footage, you can see the A-list of a galaxy far, far away hit the red carpet and take the stage.
