‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens,’ ‘Avengers’ Are Most Anticipated Movies of 2015

Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Downey, Jr. are filmgoers’ favorite stars, according to a Fandango survey

It’s no shocker, but “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” is the most anticipated film of 2015, according to a Fandango poll.

In another not-so-surprising result: “The Avengers: Age of Ultron” clinched the number two spot, with “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay — Part 2” coming in third. “Fifty Shades of Grey” and “Jurassic World” round out the top five.

While “Jurassic World” star Chris Pratt was one of the biggest breakout stars of 2014 for his role in blockbuster “Guardians of the Galaxy,” the Fandango poll has revealed that “Fifty Shades” leading man Jamie Dornan is in prime position to steal everyone’s attention in the new year. The model-turned-actor was voted the Biggest Male Breakout Movie Star of 2015.

Meanwhile, newcomer Daisy Ridley is expected by those surveyed to be the Biggest Female Breakout Movie Star of 2015 thanks to her role in “Star Wars.”

And there’s more good news for Universal, which is also releasing “Fifty Shades.” The studio’s “Despicable Me” spinoff “Minions” is the Most Anticipated Family Film of 2015.
