To his cultish fanbase, Norm Macdonald was far and away the funniest "Saturday Night Live" Weekend Update anchor ever. To everyone else, he may have been the most divisive.
But whether you thought Norm was funny during his mid-'90s stint in the 'SNL' anchor chair is moot, because either way, Comedy Central will begin airing Macdonald's latest offering, a weekly humor program called "Sports Show with Norm Macdonald," on Tuesday night at 10:30 p.m. ET.
Here's a clip that proves he'll be bringing his classic deadpan sensibility to the endeavor, and for that, we can only breathe a nostalgic sigh of relief. We'll write more about this Wednesday after we check out the full premiere tonight.
