“Spider-Man: Homecoming” star Tom Holland shared a “badass” photo from the set of Sony’s next film in the franchise.
The Instagram post shows Holland’s shadow in a dark alleyway. “Thank you to [stunt man George Cottle] and his amazing team for making me look like a badass,” he wrote.
Holland is set to play the titular character in the standalone film “Spider-Man: Homecoming” after he made his debut as Peter Parker in this year’s “Captain America: Civil War.”
The actor has previously shared behind-the-scenes looks at the upcoming film, which will also star Robert Downey Jr., Zendaya, Michael Keaton, Donald Glover, Jacob Batalon and Marisa Tomei.
On Thursday, TheWrap reported that Jon Favreau is set to return as Happy Hogan in “Homecoming,” last seen in the “Iron Man” films. And last month, TheWrap exclusively reported that Zendaya will star as Peter’s love interest, Mary Jane Watson.
Sony and Marvel have made it clear that the reboot — with a script by Jonathan Goldstein & John Francis Daley, and Jon Watts & Christopher Ford, and Chris McKenna & Erik Sommers — will focus on a high school-aged Parker.
Jon Watts is directing, and the film is set to hit theaters on July 7, 2017.
