“South Park” has decided it is time to chime in on the Occupy Wall Street protests, posting a preview of Wednesday’s episode on “South Park Studios.”
Yet instead of talking about the financial crisis, Trey Parker, Matt Stone and the rest of the gang take the “We are the 99 percent” construct and apply it to elementary school popularity.
After bringing down the fitness scores for the rest of the kids in his class, Cartman is angered by how his classmates treat him.
“Why doesn’t everyone just back off,” he said. “I know how this works. You’re the 99 percent ganging up on the 1 percent.”
That anger turns to sadness, but as he retreats to his bedroom, Clyde Frog and other stuffed animals comfort him with this fact: “It’s not your fault. How can they blame you for what is clearly President Obama’s fault?”
