Sorry Channing Tatum Lovers, Paramount Moves ‘G.I. Joe: Retaliation’ to 2013

The sequel would have been Tatum's fifth major release of 2012, but Paramount is saving something for next year

Well it looks like Channing Tatum will have to save something for 2013. 

The rising star has already appeared in three movies this year — "Haywire," "The Vow" and "21 Jump Street" — with another film, the stripper drama "Magic Mike," due out in June. 

He'll have to settle for four major releases, however, because Paramount said Wednesday that it is pushing back the opening of "G.I. Joe: Retaliation" from this summer to next year. It will now be released in 3D, which, thanks to its higher ticket prices, should goose grosses. 

In the film, Tatum plays Duke, the leader of the "Joe."
