Snooki to Have Her License Revoked After Police-Car Crash

“Jersey Shore” charmer will likely get a two-week time out following her literal run-in with the law

Looks like The Situation will have to take the wheel for a while.

The Daily Mail reports that "Jersey Shore" charmed Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi will most likely have her driver's license revoked for at least two weeks after she crashed into the back of a police car on Monday.

The accident occurred in Florence, Italy, where the fourth season of the MTV reality series "Jersey Shore" is currently filming. The accident, which occurred when Polizzi rammed into the back of a patrol car that was escorting Polizzi, sent two officers to the hospital, where they were treated for whiplash, bruises and cuts.

Florence police spokesperson Mario Rondinelli tells the paper that, while the injuries were "nothing serious," the officers will be out of work for a week, and reality TV personality Polizzi will most likely have her driving privileges revoked.

"The Italian law states that if a person is injured in an accident then the other person deemed to have caused the accident loses their license, " Rondinelli said. "'It will be for a minimum of 15 days although the Florence police chief has the ultimate decision on the length of time and he will look at the file over the next few days."

Rondinelli added that the prospect of Polizzi facing criminal charges is "unlikely," though it is possible that the injured officers could decide to file a civil suit against her. (Given the amount of money that Polizzi is raking in these days, the cops might be well-advised to aim big.)

According to Rondinelli, Polizzi was subjected to a breath test, and tested negative for traces of alcohol.

Polizzi's castmate, Deena Nicole Cortese, was in the car with Polizzi at the time of the crash, as was a member of the series' production team.

MTV did not immediately respond to TheWrap's request for comment.
