Seth Rogen got by with a little help from his friends on “Saturday Night Live” this week.
Longtime pal James Franco popped up after Rogen made a jab at Franco’s scandal last week involving the 17-year-old Scottish girl he apparently tried to pick up on Instagram.
“They read all the sketches out loud, I didn’t feel like I did great,” Rogen read out of his “SNL Memories” journal.
“So to make myself feel better, I decided to prank James Franco. I posed as a girl on Instagram, told him I was way young. He seemed unfazed. I have a date to meet him at the Ace Hotel.”

There’s been speculation that Franco staged the situation in order to promote his new film, “Palo Alto,” in which a teenager becomes involved with her soccer coach.
Zooey Deschanel also turned up on “SNL” to lend her support with a ukulele — and do a sly bit of promotion for her new clothing line with Tommy Hilfiger. The actress was wearing a dress from the collaboration, introduced in New York this week.
But the “Neighbors” actor wasn’t thrilled about all of the cameos.

Taylor Swift arrived just as things reached a fever pitch, which confused just about everyone in the room.
“You’re getting really upset, and whenever a man shows emotion, I appear,” Swift said by way of explanation.
