"Saturday Night Live" alum Michaela Watkins is joining the cast of Universal's "Wanderlust," the studio announced on Monday.
David Wain's comedy stars Paul Rudd and Jennifer Aniston as a married couple who try to escape the modern pressures of New York by fleeing the city for a freewheeling commune where the only rule is to be yourself.
Watkins will play Rudd's neurotic, high-strung sister-in-law.
Oscar nominee Alan Alda will play Carvin, the head of a naturist village that "Six Feet Under" star Lauren Ambrose also calls home.
Justin Theroux, Malin Akerman and Ray Liotta co-star in the film, which Judd Apatow is producing through his company Apatow Productions.
Wain and co-writer Ken Marino will also produce with Rudd, while Dick Vane will exec produce.
Erik Baiers is overseeing the project for the studio.
Watkins recently appeared alongside Jennifer Lopez in "The Back-up Plan," and was previously featured in a recurring role on CBS' "The New Adventures of Old Christine." She'll soon be seen in a recurring role on HBO's upcoming Laura Dern series "Enlightened."
Watkins is represented by ICM and Flutie Entertainment.
