Snap Inc. and DC Entertainment announced on Tuesday a new partnership that brings original and curated content from MAD Magazine to Snapchat seven days a week.

MAD’s Snapchat content will be spearheaded by John Ficarra, former MAD senior vice president and a creative advisor for DC, and Peter Girardi, executive vice president of Blue Ribbon Content at Warner Bros. Television.

“We’ll be taking on sports, celebrities, politics, pop culture and anything else in the zeitgeist. Nothing is off the table because nothing has ever been off the table with MAD,” Ficarra said in a statement shared with TheWrap. “This is a reinvention of the MAD brand with relevant, mobile-first storytelling that will allow us to reach new audiences that are consuming this type of social satire on their devices every day.”

MAD will publish memes, slide shows, GIFs, and other content on Snapchat — some of which will come from its writing and illustration staff. Classic content from the magazine’s 66-year history will be highlighted as well.

“We can’t wait to see the classic work of iconic artists like Al Jaffee and Sergio Aragones and beloved franchises like Spy vs Spy reimagined for Snapchat,” said Sean Mills, head of original content at Snap Inc., said in a statement. “The creative possibilities of combining the singular MAD sensibility with our mobile-native format are really exciting.”

MAD will make its Snapchat debut on September 1.
