Smash Mouth frontman Steve Harwell collapsed during a show on Saturday and was taken away in an ambulance.
Fans tweeted out the news after the band, whose hit songs include “All Star” and “I’m a Believer,” performed a show at the Urbana Sweetcorn Festival in Illinois on Saturday.
“Steve from Smash Mouth collapsed on stage and left in ambulance. Glad he ok tho, we already lost Juan Gabriel. Can’t lose Steve,” tweeted one fan. The band’s Twitter account gave a quick response to another fan to indicate Harwell was in good health, despite the scare.

The band’s reps have not yet responded to TheWrap’s request for comment.
In 2015, Harwell made headlines in Colorado when fans started throwing bread at him during a performance.
“I’m going to beat your a–, whoever the f— you are,” he said to the crowd during the incident, which was caught on video by a fan. “Walk your a– up here.” Harwell also threatened to walk off stage while the rest of the band continued to play the mega-hit “All Star.”
Smash Mouth are set to perform in Las Vegas on Sept. 3.
